State Minister of Defence, Ms. Aishath Safoora has met with Dr. Animesh Kumar, the head of United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), Bonn Office.
During the meeting, discussions were held about the ongoing engagement between the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Agency.
State Minister Safoora thanked UNDRR for the sustained efforts over the decades to build the disaster management system.
The meeting was held at the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
