The Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ibrahim Hilmy, officially inaugurated the National Service Initial Training - Batch 3 of Maldives National Service, at a ceremony held at Lh. Maafilaafushi Composite Training Centre.
A total 0f 352 cadets, comprising 288 male and 64 female cadets from 112 islands, reported to the Centre on 8th June 2026 to commence their training.
During the 15-week training, the cadets will undergo training in nationhood, responsible citizenship, spiritual and mental well-being, leadership, physical training and other various life skills.
The National Service Program is a key initiative of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, aimed at nurturing a generation of productive and responsible youth who uphold Islamic values and the ethics of nationhood.
