The Minister of Defence and National Service, Hon. Hassan Rasheed, visited the shipyard to inspect the ongoing construction of 20 new interceptor craft for MNDF maritime operations.
Upon completion, the project is expected to enhance the maritime security, search and rescue capacity of the MNDF Coast Guard.
The Minister also visited the MNDF military facility at K. Girifushi, where he inspected the ongoing land reclamation project and observed its progress.
