The Minister of Defence and National Service, Hon. Hassan Rasheed officiated the passing-out parade of 73rd batch of MNDF’s Basic Training Course held at Girifushi Training Centre.
During the ceremony the Minister inspected the recruit formations, presented awards to the outstanding recruits and addressed the graduating batch.
The four-month training program was conducted by MNDF College of Defence and Securities Studies at Girifushi Training Centre.
A total of 117 recruits, comprising of 22 female and 95 male recruits, successfully completed the training.
The ceremony was also attended by Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ibrahim Hilmy, Minister of State for Defence and National Service, Aishath Safoora, Deputy Minister of Defence and National Service, Fathmath Mizna Ali, general officers, Seargent Major of MNDF, Nasrulla Waseem, training facilitators and parents of newly graduated MNDF recruits.
